Glaucoma NZ is a non-government funded charitable trust with a mission to eliminate blindness from glaucoma, which is the leading cause of preventable blindness in NZ. We do this through nationwide awareness and education programmes for the general public.
An estimated 91,000 New Zealanders over the age of 40 currently have glaucoma. 50% of these people don’t know they have it.
